The #TEACHMEET phenomenon!
I have been watching with great interest Teaching and Learning developments in the UK and have been really excited watching the ‘Teachmeet’ revolution just growing and growing!! I created a professional Twitter account last month @dubai_teachmeet with the intention of setting something similar up in Dubai and the UAE.
I was promptly tweeted by Mark Wood (@mark_wood), an ICT teacher who along with colleagues Lee Garrett (@LeeG4rr3tt) and Mark Barrington (@Mb_teach) had already begun their vision for sharing good practice across the UAE and have created their own version of a ‘Teachmeet’.
They have called this SPARK (Sharing Pedagogy and Refining Knowledge) and the first hugely successful event took place in March. The next event is being held at Dubai College on Saturday 1st June and Im excited to be presenting at my first ever ‘Teachmeet’!
